Thank you all for welcoming us here. Too anchored in Western cultural certainties, sometimes moralizing, sometimes inhibiting, my life now turns towards something else. At 50 years old, living happily with a woman who was herself born an expatriate, having lived 6 years in black Africa and 6 others between Venezuela and the West Indies, our local ties are today weak. Tomorrow, another life is destined for us: end of one book, destination writing of another... Simple reminder of the body to the mind that we have decided not to ignore, a reflex that it would be easy for us to accept for the sake of daily comfort, for lack of desire and courage, too. This Morocco that I have been around for some time, where a friend with wife and children has lived in Casa for 12 years now, is probably destined to be the scene of our next home port. We will have the pleasure of discussing on this blog, of asking you too, but also of bringing our humble, discreet and envious gaze, without brushing our teeth in front of a lark mirror...
