My expat journey

Stokesdale, North Carolina, USA
Career in aviation
Asst. Q.C. Manager
Smaller town and slower pace of life. Low cost of living and affordable homes. Low taxes and insurance. Less traffic. Rural landscape and 4 seasons. Outdoor activities are plentiful, especially mountain hiking.
People may not be as open-minded, but generally friendly. Income taxes.

Miami, Florida, USA
Began working in the aviation industry. Started my Masters in Business Administration.
Engineer and Part-Time Student at Florida International University.
Nice weather, but humid in the summers. Cheap cruises to the Caribbean if you are willing to travel at the last minute. Night life is incredible. No income taxes. Latin people are warm and welcoming - once they know you.
Hurricanes. Traffic is terrible, insurance expensive and high crime.

Tempe, Arizona, USA
Aerospace Engineering Bachelors Degree;
American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Student Chapter President;
American Helicopter Society, Student Chapter President;
Student at Arizona State University.
Wide open spaces, Desert climate, Hiking locations are plentiful. Winters are mild. Dry air. Plenty of outdoor activities. My favorite is camping in the desert, it is so dry my tent is never damp when I break camp.
Summer heat can be intolerable.

Singapore, Singapore
Born, raised and received all my pre-baccalaureate education in Singapore.

Food! Great public transportation and education system.
Hot and humid. Hectic lifestyle and crowded. Traffic. Extremely Expensive. Lack of land.
