I have lived in the south of France for 35 years. I like living in the sun. I am in the process of selling my apartment for more mobility. I love Andalusia and the south of Portugal, which I have traveled by bike. I want to experience a new culture, learn Spanish. My modest income (minimum old age) penalizes me in a very expensive environment. 20 M2 studio rent in Antibes: €600!!! Exorbitant cost of living. Want to try the adventure elsewhere. I spent a lot of time in Asia, but it was quite far from my grown children (4 daughters/who all live in the region except one who is married and lives in Quebec. Sport being quite unifying, I have little problem with integration. I traveled to South America and I regretted not being able to speak Spanish. A good challenge to take on despite my 67 years. I bought a camper van recently and I plan to explore soon. The apartments seem very cheap and I don't I'm not against sharing a 2/3 room apartment with a roommate (600 euros on average for a 100m2 accommodation) A friend has just rented a similar one for 550€ and 120m2, with garage and swimming pool!
