We live in France and went to Fuerteventura by mistake in 2014 (we thought we had booked at PORTAVENTURA in Spain!) We literally fell in love with Corralejo, Lajares and the north of the island in general. Very cosmopolitan, with the perfect climate for us (neither too hot nor too cold) and heavenly beaches... we have dreamed of settling there ever since. Netant Not yet retired (in about ten years at best) we would like to buy a pied-脿-terre there (a property to renovate for example, there are enough buildings... no need to deteriorate the island a little more) to take advantage of it from time to time and rent it a little too... we are looking to know the steps to follow. Where to start? We look at the ads from real estate agencies...the price has increased enormously over the past 5 years, but we do not despair. We know what we want (and what we don't want) the place where we hope to find a property...but we do not (yet) speak Spanish, it is not easy to communicate. We hope to be able to meet other profiles like ours so that they can tell us about their experiences and advise us in our efforts. We are determined and at our ages, we finally have the means to realize our dream. It just remains to know how ;-)
