We will retire soon, and would like to move to Greece as first step, leaving Switzerland.

Greece has beautiful weather, with hot summers, short and mild winters. It is beautiful, combining mountains and the ocean. Most people we have met are friendly and helpful, another important factor. The food is great, and the cost of living manageable. Greece is still a part of the EU, and has the Euro as currency, making things a bit easier.
Greek language and writing can be daunting. Luckily, most Greeks are helpful and friendly. Also, littering is something is very prevalent, sadly.
