I have been officially separated since May 2010 but that was before and I met my friend at the end of October 2010. I moved to Belgium in August 2011 in order to take the step of taking an apartment together, hence my arrival in Brussels. In view of my professional activity it was easier for me to leave Switzerland and come live in Belgium. My ex-wife is making it difficult for me to see my two boys, because the Swiss laws on visits to children are far from being as advanced as in Belgium, a court decision is not enough, if the mother does not present the children, she will only receive a reprimand from the judge and nothing more. So I exchange letters and phone calls with my children, I do not despair of seeing them in Switzerland where I regularly return to see friends and in the hope that the visits will be respected. I am looking forward to meeting other expatriates and making friends in Belgium.
