Hello, my name is Jenny. My partner Sean and I are planning to move to Penang - initially to work and eventually retire. We have information about the MM2H visa but as Sean is looking for work, I believe this would not be the right visa for us initially. I am a civil servant but Sean would be the one to work in Penang. He is an electrical engineer/project manager. He has his own self-employed business in Manchester with over 30 years experience in the industry. We have 5 children between us but our youngest are 21years old. My son lives and works in Myanmar which is where my parents are from. I have arthritis and diabetes which is one of the reasons we want to move to a warmer climate. We have been to Penang several times but only as tourists. We are currently in Penang for 4 weeks exploring the areas and looking into the way of life here but would like to meet up with Expats whilst we are here to chat about peoples experiences and to gain any tips and advice.
