After studying private business law (master's degree), I followed a one-year accounting course then worked for 3 years as an accountant, then 3 years as administrative and financial director of SMEs in mainland France. In November 1992, I moved to Reunion Island, where I worked as a sole accountant for SMEs. In September 1995, I became a trainee school teacher (admission to the external competition); after a year of training at the I.U.F.M., I taught 1 year at CE2, then 2 years at CP. At the start of the school year in August 1999, I was appointed teacher of C.R.I. (Integrated Remedial Course), a class which subsequently became C.L.I.N. (Initiation Class) then finally U.P.E.2.A. (Pedagogical Unit for New Allophone Students). My Mauritian husband and I have the plan to settle in Mauritius in August 2019 and more precisely in Mah茅bourg where we are having our house built.
