My expat journey

Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
Early retirement?? but a busy life! There is so much to discover, we can't stop.
For 5 years I did not have the right to exercise an activity due to my status as a woman married to a South African. Then the salaries are very low so why bother?
My husband!!! this country is breathtaking with fauna and flora as you can imagine. I have already lived in 4 different provinces and my favorite is Cape Town
This country is at the crossroads of Europe and the USA, it’s crazy. On the other hand, Kwazulu-Natal is subtropical and it's hellish in summer with the high humidity but you get used to it especially when you have monkeys coming to squat in your garden! The garden route, the vineyards have what you would believe in Bordeaux or Provence, especially in terms of climate!
Insecurity. Poverty hurts my heart. I don't even count snakes anymore? racism is still present it is very ambiguous unfortunately it is reverse apartheid.

Bristol, England, England
Transfer from Scotland still in the hotel for the same group.
Avon gorge hotel excellent location above a gorge with views of the suspension bridge in upscale Clifton
All extremely nice city due to these universities, river city. I lived in the most expensive street in the city, it was an experience, it was as if I lived in the fields!
The rowing club, walks in Wales not far away. The boutiques, the little Parisian-style cafes are a really nice city.
Young homeless people were in numbers all over the city, sad because the rents are so high that they could not find accommodation while having a job!

Edinburgh, Scotland, Scotland
Left with the hotel school for a 3-month internship which lasted 4 years!
I fell in love with this magnificent country of its legends of these castles, these lakes, the pubs and the Scottish people, my country of heart. I spent my best years there. Friends for over 20 years.
Was the hotel industry an exceptional experience in establishments of 4 and 5?
The Scots really have a huge heart and a sense of humor 100 times greater than the English! Of course I worked from the north to the south of the country so I really appreciated the beauty of this country.
Not fun opening your door in the morning in front of 1 meter of snow of course not in Edinburgh but in Pitlochry in Perthshire?
Aviemore ski resort ridiculous?

Provincia de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain
Kind organizer GO in holiday club for a French Touristà group.
The beauty of the island with its black gray sand, its volcanoes, the light and the night atmosphere.
And of course the kitchen.
