We are a couple in our fifties. we have around twenty years of experience as an independent trader in several sectors (pizzeria, local supermarket, campsite) between 1990 and 2010. since 2011 I have been employed as a commercial advisor in the insurance field. We are considering returning to independent business through a 3/4-time expatriation, as France is no longer a country for entrepreneurs. we would like to create a business around luxury lodges. We already went to Costa Rica last May, and have planned a trip to Panama at the end of the year with the aim of discovering this country which, a priori, would be less complicated for investors with a quality of life equivalent to Costa Rica. we obviously ask ourselves a lot of questions. - on the type of luxury lodge that we wish to operate, is it reasonable to expect an occupancy rate of 30% over a period of 6 months corresponding to the high season? - is investing in this type of business a good idea? - Is the local context favorable?
