It absolutely makes sense to split into two FDs. Though you are *allowed* to withdraw after one year (pending approval) that doesn't mean that a bank will not charge you penalties for breaking your FD early. You want to structure it so that the ... Read More

Not taxable by Malaysia but you will probably have tax obligations to Australia until you establish an MY residency and become AU non-resident for tax purposes (if that is your plan). Read More
