I am currently based in Brussels with my partner. We are both approaching 60 years old. Apart from physical back problems, we have a fishing mentality point of view! We intend to establish ourselves permanently in Spain; and in the coming months and based on numerous researches already carried out by computer & internet, we plan to spend 1 month of vacation in Zurgena near ALMEIRIA in the "non-tourist" or "off season" months with the aim of STAYING LIVE IN SPAIN. We hope to see better the life that awaits us if we buy a 鈥渇inca鈥� or country house in the surrounding area. Adaptation to the climate, to the mentality of the people in the villages and larger cities around us. Getting there, we realize how long it takes us by car to reach... the sea, the shops, the hospital, the doctor, a bus, a supermarket (what we find there and at what price), a DIY store; what is expensive or not expensive in all kinds of areas to stay alive; what remains active or not outside the tourist season... And organize yourself to visit country houses without being restricted to just one agency (I don't yet know how to do this "practically"!...). Advice will ALWAYS be welcome, whatever it may be!!! Concerning the role of "script" of 1 notary, and more importantly, of 1 lawyer, it's OK. But how to find e.g. 1 鈥渘eutral鈥� lawyer who speaks FR to support us in our purchasing procedures and more.... no lo se! I'm jabbering at Spanish (at school, so it's dated!), but I intend to get back to it there! My knowledge of Spain? All cities concerning the tourist aspect, said to be "to see" for their historical monuments & art, museums etc... e.g. the Alhambra in Granada, Seville, Toledo, Madrid...
