My expat journey

Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya
I moved to Nairobi as a teenager from the country side. Since my high school days, I have always been a fan of going out and of cultural events in the city. Alliance Fran莽ais and Goethe Institut always have different fun events may it be a concert by the late Ayub Ogada or an exhibition of local contemporary art or plays by local theater troupes or the international film festival, there is always something exciting going on!
Because of my interests in languages and different cultures, I always mingled with people from different parts of the world. This provided me with an opportunity to volunteer in different projects that enabled me to see Nairobi from different angles, this is highly recommended if you want to discover Nairobi from all of its different facets.
I am a jurist by profession and currently looking for new opportunities wherever and whenever in the world
I love Nairobi for it's warmth, the people and the sense of humor. Because Nairobi is full of so many young people, the city is always buzzing!
The infrastructure , inequality and getting around is pretty nerve-wrecking unless you own a car. Just come open minded! Nairobi is a developing city and this comes with its own challenges.

Vienna, Vienna, Austria
I lived and studied in Vienna
I was a business law student and worked in different capacities in different companies.
The infrastructure, the easy accessibility of everything. The high quality of life at a somewhat affordable cost. The architecture in the city center is just heavenly and of course the oh so grandios Alps.
Vienna is a beautiful city and a wonderful place to live but my experience as a broke foreign student didn't allow me to enjoy the city as much.

Munich, Bavaria, Germany
Au pair and language student
As an au pair and a German language student
Munich is a lovely and beautiful city, that has just that southern German flair. My favorite place to live in so far. The nature around the city, the charming bavarian accent and the welcoming people.
Well Munich might run your pockets dry
