My expat journey

Auckland, New Zealand
Discover, travel, meet people, taste, explore.
European Wine Import Manager for the New Zealand Wine Society
The pace of life, the people, the beaches everywhere, the scenery, the glaciers, the Fiords, the Peninsulas, the rugby.
It's (very) far from everything, it's expensive, it's small, the roads are horrible.

Rotterdam, Netherlands
Exploring this small country, experiencing life, colors, smells, habits, cycling even though I already knew it quite well given that my mother is Dutch and I went there every year to visit my family.
I worked for 3 months for Google then 7 months for Civil and Military Aviation.
Professional activities, facilities for cyclists, outings, restaurants.
The weather, the wind and the cold, the local cuisine non-existent, life is relatively expensive (but salaries generally follow).

Beijing, China
3 months in Beijing during the 2008 Olympics - Responsible for developing business for a Luxury Spas and Massage Salon company. Then 9 months in Shanghai at the prestigious FUDAN university.
Everything is negotiated (price of accommodation, taxi, food, clothes...), life never stops, it's big, there's plenty to see/taste/venture.
The omnipresent pollution, the mass of population everywhere all the time, the poor education of the Chinese, the dirt.
