Hello, I come from the Paris region, married with 2 children, retired from the civil service. I have been living in Portugal for 4 years on the Silver Coast. Thanks to various Franco-Portuguese events, marches and outings, we made a group of French and Franco-Portuguese friends. We live 10 km from Caldas da Raihna. Having bought a holiday home in 2007, we came to Portugal regularly before settling here permanently. What made us come to Portugal was not the tax advantages which we do not benefit from because my husband and I are retired from the civil service, but the quality of life, the sun and the kindness of the Portuguese people.
