Hello everyone, We currently live in France and have an expatriation project in Tunisia starting in September this year. Indeed, my company has a branch in Tunisia and wishes to expatriate it for a two-year mission. We will all leave together, I will be with my husband (thus unemployed) and with two dependent children. Our problem to date is that we do not know the workings of expatriation or secondment, nor the taxation that results from it. We have two concerns regarding taxation, on the one hand 0% taxation in Tunisia and withholding from French sources and on the other hand, given that we will be the whole family in Tunisia, we will be a Tunisian tax resident and therefore with high taxation (45%). In the 2nd case, we will not leave. Has anyone been in this situation before? Thank you in advance for your feedback.
