I am Serere originally from Senegal which I left in 1980 for the United Kingdom. I have been a senior government executive, city councilor and mayor of Chesterfield. My wife is British and retired from teaching. Like me, she was a municipal councilor. We have 2 married daughters and 6 grandchildren. After my permanent retirement (apart from the consultancy I do in good governance, conflict resolution, community involvement and public-private partnership -PPP), my wife and I decided to share our time between Senegal and the United Kingdom. We have started to build infrastructure in our 3 ha field at 11 Kims of THIES for the breeding of poultry, sheep and pigs and planting of fruit trees My wife plays and teaches piano, plays guitar and sings. Best of all, she makes excellent cakes to order for any occasion. So
