My partner and I are planning to retire within 2 years. We want to live on a Catamaran in the Caribbean. As we need a place to live and we do not want to leave the catamaran for 6 months (required return to Quebec), we would like to apply for residency in the Dominican Republic. We have enough money to buy a residence for US$200,000, which we can rent (welcome our friends there, stay there when we refit the boat).
