About

I offer a unique blend of experience and expertise on the complex issues of risk management in both retail and distribution business sectors. I have a broad base of professional experience having been part of operational management, corporate security and internal audit teams of some of the largest corporations in Canada with additional experience conducting investigations and audits internationally. As a graduate of the Labour Studies program at McMaster University in Canada, I have also earned Fraud Examiner, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Control Self Assessment designations. To supplement this expertise, I completed certificate programs in project management with the CDI Institute and advanced investigative interviewing techniques with Wicklander-Zulawski. I am driven by a passion for operational excellence and a set of core values centered on ethical behavior and doing what is right with the capability of transforming results into operational process improvements. I do this with a capability of building bridges between audit, security and operational departments to strengthen corrective actions and improve control environments to mitigate future risks. Internal audits are completed with the added value of being performed through the eyes and skepticism of a fraud examiner, and investigations into asset misappropriation or corruption are reinforced with the risk and control perspective of an auditor.
