My expat journey

Papeete, 脦les du Vent, French Polynesia
It's an old project dating from 2012 and which has been postponed several times because it's not easy to get started.
But this time, we would like to take the plunge next year or in 2022 at the latest...
Our plan is to give ourselves 1 year to find work.
If we were to find one, we planned to stay there for 3 years to see if we liked it?
If that were the case, our desire would be to stay as long as possible. Otherwise, we will return at the end of the 3 years.
I was in the Navy for 15 years as a Bosun.
Then I anticipated the end, by resuming my studies and I took evening classes, a DEUST, a License then a Master's degree in Real Estate Law.
I worked for 3 years in a Bailiff's Office before finally becoming a Real Estate Agent.
I set up my own agency in the Alpes de Haute Provence near Barcelonnette.
I love nature, fresh air, tranquility, winter sports and magnificent landscapes!
The period of December and January when it is quite cold and the temperature is close to -20掳 at night...

Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
I was on a 2-month stopover with the French Navy
I was in the military until 2010.
Now Real Estate Agent.
The landscapes, the wild life.
The freedom to do things that we haven't done for 30 years in France.

Antsiranana, Diana, Madagascar
I was on a stopover for a few days in May 2004 with the French Navy.
I was Bosco Boatswain.
Boat pilot.
Cheap life.
Poverty...

Cochin, Kerala, India
I was on a stopover from the end of December to the beginning of February with the French Navy.
I was Bosco Boatswain.
Boat pilot.
The landscapes.
The kindness of many people.
Poverty.
Limited outings because not many places to party...
