I'm currently living in Barbados and hoping to relocate to the Silicon Valley area of California in the next 6 months in connection with a tech startup company. Would welcome insights into the culture of the Valley and what to expect in terms of housing, transportation etc. I'd only need a studio apt but I understand that prices have shot up this year due to an explosion of new startups resulting from the recessionary climate and the joblessness it has spawned.
