About

I am a teacher in the UAE, from the USA (Florida). I am married and have three beautiful daughters, who my husband homeschools while working on finishing his degree as well. I am also pursuing a Masters in Ed Leadership. We love to travel and have adventures here in the desert also!
Interests: travel, family, decorating

Al Ain, United Arab Emirates

I am a teacher with ADEC. I enjoy much of this area, although going home to visit is always wonderful! I plan to stay here about as long as they will let me.
As mentioned, I am a teacher. I currently am at an all boys Arabic public school. I am hoping to advance next year by becoming a head of faculty.
I love the economic benefits and opportunities for travel. Many things that are rising in cost in the States are much less expensive here. There is also a wide opportunity to travel, as we are more central to the rest of the world here. We have a strong base of friends as well.
Well I am not a fan of the food, but that is minor as it is easy enough to obtain other types of cuisine as well. It does get HOT and the sand is, well, everywhere! The winters are wonderfully mild, though. I do miss the rain, as well!!!

I was born and raised here! It's home.
Well, I taught school off and on for years, as well as being a wife and mother....
It's HOME! I love America.
Unfortunately, the economics. It's what drove us to consider overseas opportunities.

I have not seen any. Of course that does not mean definitively no, but I know of none. I do know there is another teacher in Abu Dhabi who is certified in and leads ballroom for adults and students, but I am not sure of the timings. That IS an ... Read More

I have been in Al Ain for a year now. My 11 year old daughter is also in ballroom dance, in fact, won at competition in Florida before we moved. She has now been without dance for a year and I HATE that cause she is so good! If you do find anything, ... Read More
