About

I am of 50% Lithuanian heritage on my mom's side. I visited Lithuania in 2006 (with my mom), and I have always wanted to try living in Lithuania at some point in my life. I do not speak Lithuanian, but I would like to. I would like to learn about any Lithuanian job opportunities I could get. I have worked in a variety of general business job roles, equaling 8 years of experience. I have a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Business Administration, and I will complete my MBA, specializing in Marketing in 2012. I would be open to corporate or private business jobs (in many industries) as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) jobs, too. Another option would be working as an Attache for the US Embassy. Basically, if anyone knows of any jobs, please tell me. I also have much to learn about the cost of living, what salary I can expect, if I would be able to still have a retirement plan and other health benefits through a job in Lithuania, etc.

My expat journey

any city, Lithuania

I have traveled to Lithuania once in 2006, for about a week or 10 days. I saw Vilnius, Kaunus, Klaipeda, and a lot of the countryside. I located the farm where my Lithuanian grandmother grew up.
I would like to work in Lithuania. I am open to many options here, but I only speak English (for now).
I really liked the people, the sights, the solemnity of the historical elements that can still be easily imagined, and learning more about myself through the culture of my grandmother.
There does not seem to be nearly as many options and variety as in the USA, for anything.

New Jersey, USA

I am a USA citizen, and I have spent my whole life living in the USA. I was born in Indiana, but I grew up in New Jersey.
I work as an Analyst in Aerospace & Defense for the world's largest defense contractor. However, I am currently seeking more creative, more sociable, job roles.
I love the USA. I have traveled quite a bit, especially for an American, and there is nothing like the USA. First of all, it's "home" to me. Everyone I love is there, for the most part. Secondly, there are so many comforts of modern living I have found no where else, including London (where I had a stay in college).
There is not truly old architecture, since the country is so young. Also, SOME (not "all") Americans are very culturally empty. They do not know about other cultures, haven't traveled or experienced other cuisines or ideals other than their own.
