I am French and I am going to live in Barcelona this year as part of my studies. I don't know the city at all but I've been told it's really cool. I speak Spanish fluently after living 8 months in Latin America (a little rehabilitation time will be necessary). I'm looking for a cheap apartment (shared accommodation, room with a local) and any kind of job. I am all ears for alternative housing methods and for all the useful tips in Barcelona or life in general in Spain. I am in the process of sorting out some practical details and finding out about a lot of boring things (local social security, local mobile account, local student grant, local Caf (?), papers etc.) despite the fact that Spain is in a crisis situation at the moment and the benefits are not widely available.
