I will be visiting with my husband, Tom, to see if we want to retire (in our 50s)in Ecuador. We are very active & love the outdoors - mountains, shore & forests. We will be visiting Cuenca for most of our 2 week stay. We have both worked in corporate & traveled internationally on business & pleasure. My husband is quite technically oriented & interested in continuing to use those skills. I have no idea what I want to do if we retire. I am interested in regular exercise & learning. We both love animals. We are interested in assessing if retiring early in Cuenca would work for us. We would like to meet expats in our age range to converse & see what life is like for them in Ecuador.
Interests: hiking, skiing, walking, art, scuba, cycling, gardening, dance

Preventative Meds needed for Ecuador

Hi! Can anyone tell me if we need typhoid shots? Malaria prevention pills? Can you easily get them there upon arrival or should we get them in the US before we leave? Thanks, Wendy Read More
