UPDATE: So I left Bucharest in January 2012 and have been back home in California since. In a few weeks, I'll be moving to Prague to au pair for an international family there. I'm looking forward to returning to Europe and meeting new people there! I look forward to meeting people from around the globe, though I'm particularly interested in establishing a group of like-minded connections for the cultural ease/ intelligibility (any Americans/ native English speakers will be much appreciated). I enjoy travel and experiencing new places quite a bit, but I've found that it becomes difficult for me to enjoy my new surroundings without a good support network. I work in education (I tutor English/ language arts, history, and literature and do curriculum development/ proofreading and editing) and love working with students. I also like playing music, though I'm not very good, reading, walking and chatting around town with friends, cooking, and going out to eat/ for coffee.
