I am an electronics engineer in Belgium in Li猫ge. In 3 years I will retire. I chose to live in Thailand. I don't have a place to live yet. I lived there for 7 months 22 years ago and 6 years ago for my vacation. So I am preparing this project seriously. I have 3 months left in total to have read as much information as possible and to discover the place that will suit me.
Since I started, I have had the chance to always work in my sector. For work I have traveled a lot and had the chance to discover wonderful countries: China, Peru, Bangkok, Kala Lumpur, Japan, Africa (Kenya, Tanzania), the Dominican Republic, and other European countries, which gave me a desire to travel. For my job, even at 58 years old, I am still as passionate as ever. Each day goes by so quickly. Hence for me retirement is not far away.
It's true that it was a long time ago, 2002, Thailand has changed a lot since then, my 6 month stay was a real pleasure. Discover such welcoming and pleasant people. I felt like a family there because of the person I met, but eventually we lost touch and the years passed. In 2018 the country was different, but still fantastic and the soul of the people had not changed, just as pleasant. The beauty always fascinates me and the rich culture.
