I know very little about Krabi. Would like to know about the regular things, the local people, best places to stay, banking, groceries, beaches, restaurants, etc...

Beautiful scenery, not too touristy or crowded with the opportunity to walk beautiful beaches without tripping over people...lol

We've been coming to Mexico for 18 years. We had a casa in Playa Del Carmen for 16 years and have spent the past 2 winters in Pto Morelos. Thailand is on our bucket list and we would like to spend a few winters there. Interested in talking to anyone who currently lives there. Where is the best place to live, preferably near a beach? Are there mosquitoes, is crime rate low, and all of the things a person needs to know while there.

Mexico is much busier than it was 28 years ago. People are wonderful, nice weather, beautiful beaches, but with growth comes more crime and quaintness no longer is there.
