Hi everyone, My name is Jamie and I'm a single mom wanting to move out of the states for several reasons. I've never been to Kenya and I'd love to hear your experiences being there. I have the basic questions: how much money is needed to move comfortably? What are the apartments and houses like? Healthcare: what vaccines are mandatory and what diseases are prevalent? What is education like for children? What jobs are available? I have a customer service, sales background. I have intentions of having an online craft business running as well. Culture: how are Americans welcomed? Does the language barrier make it almost impossible to function? What languages are important to learn? Some of this I can find with an easy search, but since I'm asking...lol. I'd love to hear stories and other experiences you have to share, good and bad. Also, what is the political climate like?
