Speaks I speak French pretty well after 20 years here. I can still get by in Portuguese after a year in Brazil. I can read Spanish and Italian and know a very little Douala.

originally from Scotland (Glasgow and Ayr) I also spent many years in England (Oxford, Coventry, Brighton, London). After that, Barcelona and Recife in Brazil, then 13 years in Paris, now 7 in Lille. It?s hard to think of myself as belonging or not belonging anywhere now. I?ve become a hybrid.
