I was born in Port-au-Prince (Haiti), am of Canadian nationality, I live in a small town located 100 km north of Toronto. I have been teaching mathematics for several years. I have the idea of ​​retiring in Uruguay in a year or two maximum and I would like to get in touch with anyone who could give me information about this country, such as the cost of living, people's lifestyle, their hospitable nature, etc. in short, anything that could be useful to a foreigner who comes to settle in a new country. I should point out that I live alone, having been divorced for several years, I have never rebuilt my life on the sentimental side, not that I didn't want to, but simply that it is an exercise that turns out to be a little more difficult when you approach retirement than when you are younger.
