My expat journey

Essaouira, Morocco
I would like to take over a rented/managed Riad near Essaouira because life in France has become too expensive.
Furthermore, I only have 8 years left before retirement and I have difficulty seeing, at the rate things are going, how it will be possible for me to get by with French retirement.
I had the opportunity in the past to stay there for long enough periods to discover unique places and fantastic people and it was always with a feeling of sadness in my soul that I returned to England to resume my work.
I am currently a night receptionist in a hotel establishment in Marseille and have been for almost eight years.
The climate, the breathtaking landscapes and a very rich culture.
The somewhat crafty side of some locals towards tourists (which is understandable given the difference in the standard of living between one and the other but all the same it's a shame)

Marseille, Provence-Alpes-C么te d'Azur, France
Having worked in a three-star hotel for almost eight years, I plan to move around a bit to use all my skills in the management of a Riad in Morocco.
I am still in my position and plan to free myself from it in May 2025 if all goes well.
What I appreciate most about France is its strong culinary traditions, its typical villages and its language too.
The cost of living.
