My name is Loli Montalvo D'franco, also known as Lola. I was born in San German, Puerto Rico with a love for art. Drawing and painting quickly turned into my passion and by the time I was in High School I was devoted to the field of Design and Art Production. At the age of sixteen, I was providing creative direction to various organizations including the Environmental and Drama Clubs in my High School as well as the Theater Company in my hometown. In New York, I attended Pratt Institute where I earned my bachelors in Illustration and Communication Design. I began doing shows in New York City, Miami and San Juan, Puerto Rico, as a freelance graphic designer and studio artist. My Master鈥檚 degree is in Printmaking and Graphic Design from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico was completed in 2002 where I also worked as an assistant instructor for a graduate level painting course Instructor. I taught art criticism and painting techniques in oil and acrylics. Embracing the business side, I started working for renowned artist Romero Britto in his Miami gallery where I learned about sales, gallery management and art handling. My work ethic and love of design allowed me to hold multiple positions in New York: with a litigation graphics company called Maxim Legal, executing graphic design for courtroom use in presentations of corporate legal cases; as a part-time adjunct professor at Briarcliffe College where I taught digital Imaging and lectured about the business of graphic design, including legal issues and as a Creative Director at the agency, Double Xxposure. I decided to incorporate all my experience into a personal project and in 2008 I opened my own business, Creativengine, focusing on various freelance projects. This has enabled me to participate in international projects, including working in Paris and Barcelona. I am searching for the right, full time position in which I can add my unique skill-set while continuing to learn the business.
