Married and semi-retired. Own/operate a water treatment consulting and products retailing biz that is now nearly 100% online. A duffer at golf but it's good therapy for aulde lower back kinks. Wife's interests would include shopping, a place with a water view and peace/quiet. Any tips/advice on US expat communities in the Puerto Plata, Sousa, Cabarete area would be very much appreciated. Also, some indication of the cost to golf for locals would be GREATLY appreciated. Have already discounted consideration of relocating to some areas of DR and elsewhere because all the golf courses are expensive resort courses and wouldn't be affordable for my intended golfing 3-4 times/week. Need local rates for greens fees not over $40. Used to under $30 for great local public courses in WV.
