I have lived in Australia for 15 years and would like to make contact with other Americans in the Far North Queensland area. My son needs to renew his US passport and was hoping that others in my area would be interested in a visit from the American Consular Services. At present they plan to only visit Brisbane and I hoped that if enough interest came from FNQ they might also include a trip here.

Hi, Actually, I live and work in a restaurent as a waitress in Melbourne. But I planning to move to the north at the end of July or in August. I hesitate between Darwin and Cairns. I would like to stay 2 or 3 months. Is it easy to find a job ...
I'd say definitely Cairns. It is a tourist destination so lots of cafes/restaurants and hospitality work. It's been awhile since I worked in that industry but I think you'd be looking at $14ish an hour? Maybe contact a temp agency like Signature ... Read More
