Ola! My husband and I are seriously considering buying a vacation home in the Dominican Republic in the Punta Cana area. I recently visited Cap Cana and fell in love. Our only concern is safety in the area once we leave the gated community. A friend recently commented that the Dominican Republic is not that safe for people travelling outside of the resorts/gated communities. I would love feedback on this. Gracias! Nanci
