I'm a 40-year-old former attorney from Washington, DC, who moved to Paris two years ago for love. I met the love of my life when I was in Paris on vacation in April 2009; we were engaged three months later and married a year after that. I have been in Paris on a student visa, studying French language and civilization at the Sorbonne. I am also a Cambridge CELTA instructor of English to speakers of other languages. Finding a teaching gig has not been the easiest thing to do, but I'm still on it. In the meantime, I write a blog called je parle am茅ricain. It's essentially my online diary, where I chronicle my experiences and observations of daily life in Paris from an American perspective. You should check it out at www.jeparleamericain.com.
