Vancouver Island, British Columbia is one of the most beautiful places in the world! It truly is a paradise. 15 mins from my home, I have the choice of hiking a rainforest, kayaking in 3 fresh water lakes, sunbathing on 4 sandy ocean beaches, photographing 2 provincial parks competing against one another with the mightiest waterfalls, shopping at a world famous country market with goats on its roof, and 3 mountains to climb. Have I missed anything? My area holds over 140 festivals each year and in winter, I get to put the skis on and downhill on Mt Washington only 60 mins away. Oh, yes, there are 9 golf courses within 30 kms and I get to play the game for as little as $18 Cdn Dollars! So, I hope I have intrigued you enough to come and visit us on Vancouver Island.
