I decided to use the name WhaleShark because I wanted to share my experiences and those of my family, while asking real questions that apply to me, but maintaining a certain degree of privacy in this big crazy world of cyberstalking. Walking the streets of Isla Mujeres, we constantly heard people screaming "Whale Shark" at us, so somewhere along the line, we intentionally misinterpreted that I must look like one and people were amazed to see one walking down Ave Hidalgo. And so, I have become WhaleShark28 (someone else was using "WhaleShark", I guess, as it was unavailable so I just slapped some numbers on the end like they did on AOL thousands of years ago)
