About

5 months ago my nephew suggested that I come to Bali to work with him and his new Balinese wife as a cook in a Spanish tapas bar that he was going to open. I had a job in Spain as a sports activity instructor, Pilates, and personal trainer and I was not doing badly, but I was tempted by the idea of changing my life and continent. I got rid of my entire previous life in a month, giving away practically everything I had to my friends with the clear intention of not returning to Spain, at least to live, for a few years. The situation in Spain is not at all flattering and I wanted to get out of the bubble of the system of working like a donkey to give away all my income to the riffraff who run the country. I came with just enough, that is, in panties, but yes, with great enthusiasm and hope that everything was going to be for the better. But life gives you surprises, and on this occasion, quite unpleasant ones. And it didn't work, I tripped over a snake. Starting again from scratch in Spain seems like an impossible mission to me, especially given the unemployment situation. I want to look for work options in Asia, move to Thailand where it is more sustainable to live and where visa requirements are not as restrictive and expensive as here in Bali. I am very hard-working and can adapt to circumstances easily. I am a fighter and an optimist, and before throwing in the towel and returning to Spain I want to try to make some way for myself here. I am open to any opinion, advice and everything you want to give me so I can continue with my dream. Thanks for reading and greetings
