Saigon, Vietnam

I was lucky to meet a wonderful lady while exporting old Vespa scooters from SaiGon. I am always thinking about teaching in VietNam when I retire. I enjoy the young people there. They are friendly, sweet and eager to learn.

I liked everything except the air quality which bothers my sinuses. I feel so alive in VietNam . The sights and sounds and smells overwhelm your senses. SaiGon is always fun especially at Christmas. If you want to escape SaiGon and relax you can stay at the Phuong Nam Resort in Binh Duong just 30 minutes from downtown. It is a wonderful place to relax and get some quiet time. Google them and check it out. Favorite Places in SaiGon: Roof Top of the REX HOTEL Roof Top of the Majestic Hotel The Continental Hotel and it's history. The SaiGon Zoo, nice place to escape the traffic of SaiGon The war museum , it made me cry. The water front ..just relax there at night and enjoy . Vietnam is very romantic.
The air quality and heat in the summer months is almost unbearable. I don't imagine one could ever get used to it as even my Vietnamese friends have trouble dealing with the oppressive heat .
