I live in New York City, but have experienced being an expatriate while living in Tokyo for few years. I own my own business - East West NLP & Hypnosis where I specialize in assisting/coaching expatriates from around the world to shift their perceptions and behaviors to create more fulfilling lives in the New York metropolitan area (at my office) or wherever you have moved to (via skype). Moving to a ‘foreign’ city can be an overwhelming undertaking. Dealing with language, environmental and cultural barriers as well as creating new circles of friends and or family can be exceedingly challenging. Making the mental shifts from your ‘past’ life to the present is paramount in adapting to radical change. I have experienced these challenges while living abroad (Tokyo) and bring NLP techniques, hypnosis and stress relief methods in an individuated manner to my clients.
