About
I was born and grew up in Bath in SW Uk. we came on holiday to spain every year to santander as my mum is spanish and we stayed with my family here. I moved over to spain originally thinking of going to cantabria but work moved me to asturias and i have never moved away as the region is truly lovely and ticks all those boxes of expectations of living somewhere clean safe summer weather in summer but also the four seasons. walking and trekking is how you really come to know the area and there are some wonderful places to visit. quaint fishing villages abound and the gastromony is fantastic and probably one of the best in spain. I started my teacher career here in language academies and was one of the first to teach young learners over 20 years ago in the area. i have been involved in many teacher training courses and am currently working in a bilingual state infant primary school teaching literacy.
I also own and run some casa rurales which are country homes 10 minutes from gijon and set in a beacutiful historic and culturally rich valley where we receive many guests from abroad and from all over spain every summer. i enjoy helping them to make the most of their summer holidays and getting to know the area.
Interests: reading, training, swimming, gardening, young arners, yoga, teaching
