About

Born and bred in Islamabad, Pakistan I went to school at Froebel's International School (one of the leading private schools in the country). Like most other students who graduate from this school, I too went abroad for my undergraduate studies. I chose to pursue a bachelors degree in Economics and Management The University of Sussex in England. The three years that I spent in Brighton made me realise how different the world outside Pakistan was and how much I could learn by living independently in a developed country; and how this would help me in the long run for the good of my own country. After three years in Brighton, I moved back to Pakistan and worked in the private sector as a financial consultant for a year. However, I felt I could offer more to the company if I did another degree so I chose the " MA in International Accounting and Corporate Governance" program at Sussex (again, yes. I just love the place too much). This, I feel was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The year proved to be the best year I've ever had as not only did I get top quality education but I've also made life long friends from all over the world. I'm still living in Brighton and most of my friends have moved back to their respective countries. However, me and one of my flatmates are now thinking of moving to Copenhagen, Denmark under the Danish Green Card Scheme which we're applying for in November. We feel that we have a decent chance of getting this work visa as we easily meet the (100 points) requirement. It would be great if I could get some tips and help from Pakistanis (and others) about moving to Copenhagen and what the job prospects are. Both of us have 2.1 in our Masters which is equivalent to a 3.3-3.5 GPA. It would be amazing if I could get some help about settling in, getting a place, maybe finding a part time (odd?) job in the beginning while applying for graduate jobs in our respective fields.

Hi, I'm a Pakistani guy applying for the Danish Green Card Scheme from the Danish Embassy in London. I was wondering if anyone's applied for it from there and how long it took them to get it? Or if anyone applied from within Pakistan with any ... Read More
