I am a retired professional, a native of Georgia, USA, married to a Brazilian lady from Goiania. We currently live in Atlanta area, and I will be travelling solo to Brazil first of Dec. 2012, for purpose of learning Portuguese and becoming familiar with life in Goiania. I visited for one month in 2011, but to be comfortable I need to learn the language, customs, etc so I plan to have an apartment in Goiania for 3 months, returning to US in March of next year. Studying Portuguese now via Rosetta Stone and a little help from my wife. Long term we plan to split our time between the US and Brazil. While I hope to eat, sleep and.... portuguese while there, I also know that being alone in the city is going to be a challenge, espescially with Christmas, etc coming on, so it would be nice to have some contact with other friendly folks.
Interests: food, , travel, blues. learning a foreign language, guitar
