Hello, I am moving to Latvia next year for a year or 2 as my husband has been posted there for work. Live in Singapore now. Lived in Malta for 4 years. Can help anyone interested to move to either one of the two places I have lived in before. Need some help and information before moving. Some help and information that will be appreciated include: What language should I learn, is Latvian or Russian necessary to know to live in Latvia? What language do they use on food labels in the supermarkets instance. Is Riga/ Latvia dog friendly in the shopping malls, cafes? Which area is safe and convenient to live in? Near supermarkets, shops or transport. A nearby park for walking my dog would be a bonus. Thanks!
