Hi there, We live just north of Houston now, we like it here, I like the warm weather. We are interested in purchasing a 2nd home or condo of at least 2 bedrooms but more probably 3-4, in Ecuador and have heard nice things about Salinas and Cuenca. Anyone want to give us the lowdown on where is the best living? We are interested in a community that's near an airport (international preferably), near other expats from US and Canada (or any English speakers although we do know some Spanish!) and safe. We would also love to have some diverse cultural activities since I'm a singer songwriter, good dining, shopping, and outdoor activities near the mountains and the ocean. Thats a pretty tall order, but we will be using this as a vacation home, and would consider renting it out to a caregiver so that we can visit whenever. Any feedback such as where to stay while we are looking and what airport to fly into would be great! Thank you for the information and your kindness! Deb & Larry
