About

I am an American citizen from a small town in the Midwest. I have lived abroad in Brazil and China for short periods. I am interested in moving abroad again with my husband who is from Pakistan. We are considering moving to Pakistan as well as a number of other countries in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Basically, we are looking for adventure and stable employment abroad if the opportunity presents itself.

Shi Jia Zhuang, China

I taught English and lived in a small industrial city (3 million is small for China) just a couple of hours southwest of Beijing by train.
I taught English at Hebei Normal University.
Loved the people, food, culture (most of the time). I even enjoyed the chaos of living in an overpopulated developing nation. It was always full of surprises!
I disliked the smog and general pollution. At times, I would also get tired of being a novelty and wish that I could blend in and not solicit stares from curious locals.
