Hi, my name is Melvin and I am from Albay, Philippines. I am currently working in Saudi Arabia as an Administrative Assistant for over seven years now. I was a Seafarer previously and have visited many countries around the world for free from Asia, Australia, Europe and the Americas. Due to some personal reasons, I decided to leave the ship after having worked overseas for a span of four years. In 2005 I came for work here in Saudi Arabia. I know most people believe that life is quite difficult when you live and work in an Islamic country because of many restrictions in the society, but at least for now I have completely adapted to that. Two months before the end of 2011, by serendipity I met a fine Brazilian young woman and we got acquainted well after a few months then eventually both fell inlove. Since then I have been very much interested to learn all aspects about Brazil, especially the language and culture. I have been doing a lot of research from various websites to collect helpful information because I and my Brazilian girlfriend are planning to get married soon, God willing. I hope that through this website, I could find help from fellow Filipinos and other nationalities who are expatriates in Brazil. Thank you very much and may God bless us all!
