At 46 years old, I've finally decided what I want to be when I grow up, A teacher. Or rather after 46 years I've finally discovered my identity, my passion, my destiny. It is time to weigh anchor, unfurl the sails and set course for the virgin sea, it's time to Sail Away, to search for tomorrow on every shore... Or so the song goes. As this new chapter in my life begins there are still a lot of loose ends to tie up. But things are moving fast now and China is only months away; I count the days down with anticipation. It seems as if my whole life has been preparing me for this very moment, so as Mordecai said, "And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?鈥

Teaching at TianjinTeda Mapple leaf school by wilms

Hi I have just sign a contract to teach at Tianjin TEDA High School campus. I am from South Africa. Is there anyone that can give me some feedback on the circumstances at the school, bad or good? And some helpful info on what to expect?

As of now The Maple Leaf system has no schools in Guangzhou, this my very well be a copy cat or fake school, or one that flies,under the radar so to speak. Maple Leaf is a chain of international schools owned and operated by a Canadian company. They ... Read More
